Paddy Mulcahy

Recognized for his diversity as an artist and acclaimed for his projects in ambient and electronic music, Paddy Mulcahy is creating deep and personal work that reflects on his life experience.

Mulcahy’s story starts in the city of Limerick, and from a very early age, he is surrounded by music, starting piano lessons at the age of five. He is quickly being introduced to the world of electronics: “So that’s how my brain developed, linking computers and music.”

This background leads to Mulcahy creating a genre-bending hybrid of post-classical and electronica, finding inspiration through introspection. “Creating music is therapy for me,” he says. “It allows me time to reflect, and to move forward. My studio is a haven.”
